Create a Mosaic - Full Tutorial | ASIAir + PixInsight
Переглядів 2,6 тис.21 день тому
In this double-feature I'll show my full process for creating a mosaic. We'll start in the ASIAir and use the Plan feature to determine the dimensions of the mosaic. Once the data has been captured, we'll bring it into PixInsight and create the final image. This will take a while, as we need to stack a series of panels together, correct any issues, and then blend the panels together. If you'd l...
Squid Nebula - Processing Tutorial
Переглядів 2,8 тис.21 день тому
The Squid Nebula is one of the hardest targets to capture and process! You'll want to capture at least 30 hours of data for a clean image, if not substantially more. Assuming you have good data, the next challenge is to enhance the dim Squid Nebula. Since the surrounding area is filled with bright H-Alpha nebulosity, the faint OIII Squid is hard to see. You'll need to use a variety of tricks in...

There are many different programs available that will stack your raw photos together, including ASI Studio, DeepSkyStacker, Siril, and StarrySkyStacker. Optolong L-Quad Enhance Filter Review
Переглядів 10 тис.4 місяці тому
The Optolong L-Quad Enhance filter has been designed to block light pollution while photographing broadband targets. This sets it apart from the L-Enhance, L-Ultimate, and L-Extreme, which are all built for narrowband nebulae photography in light polluted areas. Therefore, if you had an L-Ultimate and an L-Quad Enhance filter you could (theoretically) photograph any object you want from a light...

4 Ways To Improve Your Astrophotography Images
Переглядів 26 тис.6 місяців тому
Astrophotography is one of the most challenging (and sometimes frustrating!) hobbies out there. There are many variables that will effect how our final image turns out, and some of them we have no control over. If you only have 2 clear nights per month, it can be difficult to remember how to do your polar alignment, focus, which settings to use, etc.... It will also take a long time to gather e...

I feel like I've been growing with you as an astrophotographer. I was doing DSLR back when you were, Skyguider Pro, all that fun. You're 10 months ahead of me on this camera though, I just bought it! I'll be conducting first light this Saturday, I look forward to it. I'll be shooting the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex with my Z73. My EdgeHD is already shooting a galaxy, so I'm not going to interfere with that. Thanks for this review!

Great examples! For the exclusion areas on your orion example you shouldnt have to define those for the bright areas. The script itself will avoid placing any points in bright signals. Where it is really important to use the exclusion area is to protect dark nebula where it may want put points. I love how you highlighted utilizing the history explorer too!!

If you need to work with small screws, use a magnetic screwdriver or get a small magnet and stick it to the screwdriver while you do this work. If you shine a light at the filter you should see the difference looking at the inside edge *through the glass* of the filter. I’m learning astrophotography but have been doing microscopy for many years. Darkfield microscopy relates to astrophotography in many ways.

In NINA you can use a ''Manual filter wheel'' which is a virtual one, so that you get the filter name in the fits file.

This happened in Sweden around this time, when the Baltic Icelake drained in an area west of the city of Örebro and north of Lake Värnen, creating "scablands" of big granitoid blocks, the gravel now out in the Kattegatt area between Sweden and Denmark. This event happens at the end of all glacial periods, but in Scandinavia, the 4-5 previous glacial periods removed most of the clans to gravel material, so the US type of scablands can not be deposited here.

Another big factor is the quality of the camera. Less noise = a better signal to noise ratio. A camera with very low noise can have the gain turned up further for a comparable image to a less expensive camera. And, more resolution is not necessarily helpful. More resolution means smaller pixels. Smaller pixels means less light captured in each pixel. Less light = less signal : noise. It is always interesting to figure the trade-offs.

  • @TheMacastronomer
    @TheMacastronomer 10 днів тому

The interesting concept, using two identical scope setups to capture light, has an added benefit… twice as many pixels. The unlikely chance that those pixels from each rig would be perfectly on top of one another means there would be added resolution.

It makes perfect sense. And the floods you are detailing are only the most recent series. These series of floods themselves were episodic and recurred many times. It is important to not get caught in the idea that only one thing happened. Many things happen, all layered on top of one another. As to your asteroid impact blather creating Yellowstone, No. It is the McDermitt hot spot.

It's amazing watching people who are very smart break down every possibility of anything besides what actually happened. The entirety of the earth has massive flood damage BECAUSE THE ENTIRE EARTH WAS ONCE COVERED IN WATER. Noah's flood. Whether you believe it or not it happened. You're explaining the flood damage being caused by ice sheets in North America yes, they probably were because after Noah's flood the earth entered an ice age because of how much the earth cooled. And you started to talk about it but but didnt finish. the Grand Canyon was created by a catastrophic dam breach from a residual mega lake post-Noah flood. The Colorado River 100% did not carve the grand canyon over millions of years. Quite literally the dumbest thing everyone believes. The evidence is EVERYWHERE. Just open your eyes.

5 years ago I was living in the Willamette Valley in Oregon which has a sublayering of basalt immediately beneath the soil. I never heard before about that meteor but it definitely makes perfect sense if you know the area. I caught a few Randall Carlson discussions & decided to drive out to the scablands to see for myself if this was nonsense or reality due to the amount of misinformation on the net. I was thoroughly SHOCKED to witness first hand just how unbelievably massive this enormous flood event was . . . It is terrifying to look at. If you understand what you are looking at it will petrify your mind numb. It's the difference between dropping a bowling ball into a swimming pool & a tidal wave - Fantastic work on this video, I am all for more! Thank You very much -

The lake formed as the three-kilometre-thick Laurentide Ice Shield atop the northern half of North America began to melt about 16,000 years ago, creating a dam that prevented would-be meltwaters from making their way to Hudson Bay."

Religion has stolen our history, and replaced it with fantasy. I am so very glad science is proving our recent history. It means a lot for the whole climate change theory, and its cause, and its effect. We are still changing. Man could not stop the last ice age, nor caused it to end. A volcano, earthquake, or asteroid, is much more dangerous. We should spend more on the people, rather than taxing carbon.

at 9:27, it appears to be a Native Scroll, a language only understood by those in that period. I see warnings, I see a fierce people, I see people willing to fight off those intruders, and I see Medicine men, spirit dancers, depictions of their gods, and the desire to live in peace, and not be attacked by other tribes who come to loot, pillage, maybe even rape. I see what looks to me like the symbols of a stronghold. I also see the dominance over all living species. It is beautiful
